I am a theologian, working for the Roman Catholic Church in Argovia, Switzerland in adult education. My areas of responsibility are women* and gender (*“ to make visible that transwomen and intersex are welcome”), as well as rainbow pastoral (for LGBTI their friends and families).
It has been a long and colourful journey as a womenloving woman, which brought me here. I grew up in a family where church and christian belief no longer really mattered. My mother had been active in the women’s movement and talked a lot about leaving the church, though she never did. As a small girl I already felt there was more to life than what I could see and touch. So I searched for others with whom I could share my experiences. I did agree with my mother’s critics of the institution, but I also met many people living church in a convincing way.
Because of this I wanted to make my spirituality part of my everyday life and work. During my life’s journey I had to discover that all of the words/images/concepts we use to get hold of the Great Secret of Life fall short of it. Nevertheless I love to teach and learn using them. I also felt, I needed more than words and became a breath therapist and teacher in body meditation/QiGong, which helps me to live and share my faith in a different way – body and soul.
Being able to do all of this is a great gift to me. I am still inspired by the exchange with so many people, especially women all over the world on spirituality and working for a life in fullness for all.
