VISIONS AND VOCATIONS
Find out about our new book and launch event here
This is a collection of theological essays and personal reflections by members of Catholic Women Speak and Voices of Faith, which is being published by Paulist Press in advance of the October 2018 Synod of Bishops on Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment. Our aim is to celebrate the rich diversity of Catholic women’s perspectives from around the world, as they reflect on some of the most vital issues of our time in the context of women’s vocations and visions. There are more than 60 contributors from 20 different countries. The youngest is 14 and the oldest is 85.
We are launching the book with a symposium and reception at the Pontifical University Antonianum on 1st October, 2018.
We are having a book launch and symposium at the Pontifical University Antonianum in Rome on Monday, 1st October, 2018, from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm, followed by a reception. The event is free but places are limited. To reserve a place pleasego to this link. To find out more, please contact email@example.com. If you would like to make a donation to help us to bring contributors from the Global South to Rome to participate, please go to this link..
We are fundraising to bring as many contributors as possible to Rome. Our intention is to have a gathering of women from around the world, addressing the Synod theme and creating a visible presence of women in Rome as the Bishops prepare for the Synod. Many of our contributors can only attend if we are able to cover all their expenses, and we do not believe that any woman should be excluded on the basis of cost alone.
The University of Roehampton handles all donations and finance, to ensure sound financial management and accountability.
Thank you so much for considering this appeal. Any amount, however small, enables us to support our many contributors from the Global South in order for them to participate in our Rome gathering.
Donors so far include:
