On Monday, 29th June at 2.00 pm UK time (3.00 CEST), Tina Beattie was in a Zoom conversation with Zimbabwean theologian and gender activist Martha Mapasure about her experiences as a Catholic woman during this time of global crisis.
Catholic theologian, gender activist and cultural anthropologist from Zimbabwe, Martha is currently doing a Masters at KU Leuven in Belgium. Her research interests are in the correlations of gender and religion, focusing particularly on religious women’s experiences in the church and in the world. Martha is a member of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians and of the Centre for Women’s Studies in Theology at KU Leuven. She was a contributor to the 2018 CWS book, Visions and Vocations.
